I nap anywhere anytime I can...sometimes for half an hour sometimes up to four hours....it is how I survived with fussy babies all those years....now it is necessary for working thirds.
Oh yeah! I love naps and do them on a regular basis. They can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Depending on when the dogs wake me up to go outside and bark.
Unless I'm sick, I mostly nap instead of sleeping a full night through.
We get up between 3:30am and 4:30am. About 8am I nap for a couple of hours. Then I nap for a couple of more hours in the late afternoon. Anywhere from midnight to 2am I go to bed.
Wherever we go in the car, I sleep while riding...even if it's just 15 mins or so.
I also sleep through boring TV shows...not more than an hour.
This schedule changes daily. :D--> But it's pretty reflective of my sleep patterns.

Naps leave me more tired than not, so I don't.
I picked up a thought from James Mitchner, that works well for me ...

I nap in the late afternoon sometimes. I don't always sleep through the night and this helps a little.
Seem to really lose energy after 2:30 till about 5:30 sometimes.

I never nap. If I actually fall asleep I don't wake up right--so groggy and grumpy, I can hardly function. Really, I walk into walls and stuff.
If I didn't sleep well, some quiet time in a hot bath helps alot.

Some of my dearest and nearest take "power naps". Sleeping is a real gift, especially all the way through the night!

I nap whenever I can. If I eat lunch and then sit down my eyes will go closed. If I turn the TV on I will sleep.
Best nap is 5 minates. Wake up refreshed and ready to go.
Worst nap is 2 hrs. Takes me three hours to wake up.

Notice its the ladies that mostly nap?
guessing cause we raised the kids, we are
the ones awake at the sound of anything
unusual, we don't sleep thru the night
much during pg, after babies are born, during teen years, during physical stress or medical
stuff, during womenly stuff, during menopause,
and the list goes on and on.
Naps are of GOD!!!
I learned in my corpse years that 20 minutes
of nap could change my life!!
15 hr days became bearable (not fun but bearable)
In my new job thinking naps are out of the
question, unless of course I am stranded
at an airport for an unseen layover.
Us older women are looking forward to the
day/time/season, when we "FALL ASLEEP".
How sweet it sounds to me!

I don't nap much. When I do I'm tired for the rest of the day.
I admire people that can power nap.
