I would hate to see us humans trash the moon like we have here on earth. And there's no air on the moon. Would we er not me but them you know who them is have to wear those big heavey suits all the time or do they think they can transport air?
If the Moon has any water on it, most likely frozen in the permanent shadows of craters at the lunar south pole, then oxygen is not a problem. Solar cells can produce electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen with very simple technology. Breathe the oxygen, use or vent the hydrogen.
Well, given that the Moon only has 1/6th of the gravity of Earth, skiing would be kind of boring, since you'd be doing it in extreme slow-motion. Plus, the ice is intermixed with dirt and rock, so you'd sand your skis down to nothing fairly quickly.

Being a life long sci fi fan....I find that really exciting.
There will be much growth in technology in order to accomplish this....that will benefit us all.
Living near an area that thrives off of the space industry...I know that it will mean a lot of jobs and prosperity for a lot of people.
I feel like it will constitute growth, the alternative is stagnation.
