That chipmunk song is pure nostalgia for me. I was in elementary school when it came out.. during the Hula-Hoop fad. I listen to that song and I always see my childhood friend Jeff Stovall. His family had just moved to a bigger house in a nicer fancier neighborhood than the one we lived in. I was at his new house visiting and he had the 45 RPM record of this song. You know kids.. we played it over and over again. I'm thinking the year was 1962 Maybe???

P.S. Jeff had a cute sister named Terry. Their mother died this past Summer and I went to the funeral home for visitation. My how we all change.
You guys knew I was at the Gaylord Opryland this past weekend and I've been wanting to post a tune or tune but have gotten distracted. Paw has sent me another tune, too, which you guys are going to get a big hoot out of. But first...
We loved the Rockettes. We saw them just a couple of weeks ago in New York but we enjoyed them nearly as much at the Gaylord. We also saw Pam Tillis but the Rockettes were my favorite. And this tune was my favorite part of the show. Click HERE! and name Santa's favorite toy. Just what is it the Rockettes are doing to help Santa share it with us now??
I'm enjoying your link Sudo but I can't name his favorite toy yet. And I can see why you would enjoy this having been in a band. You'd have an appreciation of what makes up things differently than someone without that experience. Either that or I'm full of poop. :P
I must say though in all honesty I don't know what the guys above me here are guessing at.
And Cowgirl please give me another clue.
Sushi I love that song you played. I just can't help but feel lighter after hearing it and it has always had that impact on me.
I'm going to have to wait to listen and to all these songs and to catch up.
Kathy thanks for the prayers. I had a rough few days after the surgery, but I'm almost back to normal (Ok. What's normal? I'm almost back to being moony.) Now, all I have to do is get through my last final today. ;)
ChattyKathy, hi there!! Just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you, you did guess the song right, I'm just trying to find a good copy of it so I can post it up here just for you.
Wow, I have two of you talking to me at the same time!
SaintGeorge, I don't open links at the office either so I understand. Thank you for your saying something though. And thank you for the Washington clue, now it makes sense for me.
Cowgirl, now I have the mystery of wondering which one it was until you find a link to provide. Hmmm... ;)
I don't want to work today, I swear I've tried to come up with an excuse to leave but I keep looking at the work to do and rats!
Although it's ugly outside but still I wouldn't mind playing hooky.
Hey there, Paw! Great song - I'd never heard that one before. I was just thinking last night that I would love to be a visitor to your home with you as DJ.
I LOL'd about the pj's too, DearChatty. I listened, but have no guess to your song, tho I enjoyed it.
Yeah, there was some other funny lines also but that one cracked me up. Knowing how kids have this thing about losing their clothes for some reason.
Well I'm still here at the office working so I guess no hooky playing today. :(
How come I'm just hearing about this info on the Chipmunks THIS year? We've played that song every year! And please don't tell me you've posted this info every year at Christmas time because that would be depressing for me to know I can't remember stuff anymore.
Kathy.. thanks for taking a stab at my Santa and Rockettes tune. I'm assuming everyone else clicked on it but didn't know. And.. it's not the most exciting piece around but it WAS my favorite from the Christmas Spectacular. So here's a hint.. I really understand what the Rockettes went through because I was in the marching band in high school and college and did precision drills very similar to the ones the Rockettes were doing. So.. it that helps any... Click HERE! and name Santa's favorite toy. Just what is it the Rockettes are doing to help Santa share it with us now??

Congratulations! You've successfully uploaded one of your songs!! You just haven't successfully LINKED to it :P. First, you have to rename your song that you uploaded... the name's too long. Instead of "Billy Dean - Simple Things.mp3" rename it BDST.mp3 for example. Then you type something like this in your post... "Hey everybody!! Look at the cool tune I have for ya'll click HERE! and listen!!"
Only you have to choose the HTML on - Auto Linebreak Mode under Post Options for it to work. Try it... you'll LIKE it!! Hee-hee!

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention that! Now, do you know where the Walla-Walla part came from? :)

This one sounds like a couple others in that same era so a clue would be something to do water. HERE
And I still would LOVE another clue from you-know-who! ;)

Also I think I may have missed guessing a link here and if so it was unintentional.
Have a good day everyone.

I'm guessing that that was a TV show theme. It sounds familiar, but even the"water" clue doesn't help.
I can't open mp3 files at work, and last night I was too busy, so I haven't heard ANY of those links.
Walla Walla is a town in Washington. Whether it has anything to do with the Chipmunk "Witch Doctor" song or not, I don't know.
