I can provide the answer because of Ala's clue but I still have no idea what I'm telling you.
I laughed at Moon Girl and the Tampa Bay team versus Ohio State "Bucks". And Rick's right on we're the real deal. :)
And Ala your closing of Then, after all that, she had an answering machine come back and say... I'm sorry, you will have to leave your name and NUMBER (of which she did not have because they had failed to install her phone) and we will get back to you.
I didn't watch the game although in our area while you're shopping you can listen to it because it's on the intercom in several places. I too understand the Bucks were faltering but in the later they methodically moved down the field with short passes and they made a touch down and that's what won the game. This was according to hubby who was watching part of it with the neighbors. But Michigan was good!
And back to that buckeye tree. When we first moved here and I saw this
I thought it looked so much like this that I couldn't understand how they could be legally using it.
And the real deal (McCoys) on that song is much better than the band's version Rick.
We may have palm trees and bucaneers in Fl. but no Buckeye Trees do we?
And Rick's right on we're the real deal.
Ok, I see how its going to be next month when I go up to Ohio. Ted, Rick, and Kathy are going to gang up on me and I won't get out of there alive.:o The thing is how can you compare a tree (with leaves that look like pot leaves) with the real Bucs. Buccaneers can chop that darn tree down like it's nothing at all. As you can see, there really isn't any comparison here at all. You can't compare apples and oranges or trees with pirates.
Our mascot isn't the tree or even the pseudo pot leaf. We have this real agile guy with a big head ya know. And I bet he could knock your pirate over (when he had his back to him). :D
Now as to your little kitty in pirate hat for your avatar well I'm afraid of it. :)
HERE SaintGeorge's clue of John Lithgow is probably as good a clue there is so if that doesn't ring a bell you probably didn't watch the show. ;)
HERE The clues on this one are lead man swooned over in a medical role. And I'll add it was in the early 60's and this man played another role in the early 80's that became the one he's more recognized for.
Let's sum up: It's possible that the Richard Chamberlain vehicle is Kathy's clip. In that case, I guess his role in "The Thorn Birds" is the other show she meant. Of course a lot of women swooned over Vince Edwards ("Ben Casey") as well, but he didn't have a big role in the 80's that I remember.
Rick's clue must come from a cop show, but that doesn't narrow it down much, does it! :D
And Ohio State is the "Bucks"; Tampa Bay is the "Bucs."
I never missed an episode of Dr Kildare (though I have to admit, I had forgotten the theme). As for the Thorn Birds, I read the book and saw the mini-series a number of times. In fact, it was just on a few weeks ago.
As far as the "other" thing, I better keep my mouth closed in this "Ohio Thread" or they may not even let me off the plane in Ohio. Truce?
Rick
That theme is so familiar, but I can't place it. It's like I can almost see it, but just over the horizon out of view.
And for you Dr. Kildare A.K.A. Richard Chamberlain ladies.... here's a pic but since he was gay... he's probably looking at the Best Boy on the set. Hee-hee!
Sad to say 'tis true... Click HERE! to check it out :( . What's that saying about all the good ones being gay?? Well, there are plenty of average guys like ME (and needless to say... Ted) around to make up for it!!
I promise not to try and turn you into a Midwesterner Moon Girl. And I can only imagine Ted was pretty happy to move south. :)
I knew he was gay for so long I forgot that I once didn't know but somewhere he just stopped looking like what I once swooned over in a big way and today I think nah. How totally rude I reckon. But I was 8 years old and today I'm....I don't want to talk about it. :(

Ted may be straight, but certainly not your average man. He is definately extra-ordinary (then again I may be biased).

I know that you are NOT talking about Ted here, are you? Is this something that we have to have a discussion concerning?:o (I know you are talking about Dr Kildare and besides, I know better.) As far as how happy he is to be moving down here, we just want to be together (especially since we're getting married). This long-distance thing is really getting old fast.

I'm sorry but I was doing something else and had to come back cause I swear that still cracks me up that even for a second you thought I meant Ted. Okay I have got to stop this now.
I'm posting this while also downloading a HUGE file on one of my e-mail accounts. I wonder what it could be???
Re:"The one I posted also has a medical theme."
Aw, C'mon and help me OUT here! That may be a good enough clue for Hiway29 but I'm a little dense. I need more help so tell me.. was I at all close on my perceptions?? I was out in left field on it being a private-eye, police drama thingee but.... it still has that B-2 Hammond organ..... is it a 70's show???
sudo
P.S. Just got the file downloaded. Looks like there's a black moon on the rise.

Yup! Dr. Chamberlain Kildare it was and I was one of those swoonies although today I go yuck. Today I think Ben Casey would be my choice.
I'm certain I watched whatever that show was but I don't know what it is.
And Mr. Exact……buck / buc…..
Oops....I meant to have some smilies in this post so.... :) :P :)

Rick,
I'm gonna need hints here because yours doesn't even sound familiar. Could that be because it's been in the last 20 years? I don't think so.. I hear that B-2 Hammond organ and it sounds 1970's-ish. It also sounds like private-eye, police/action genré kind of stuff. Just not ringing a bell for me, though.
And for you Dr. Kildare A.K.A. Richard Chamberlain ladies.... here's a pic but since he was gay... he's probably looking at the Best Boy on the set. Hee-hee!
