Went back and took the test again. 48% yankee. I have never lived anywhere but Texas. I read the foot notes about the test and it was writed and developed at Yale or Harvard. The whole dang thing is a Yankee invasion.
This proves that the union winning the war of northern agression is all a lie.
I also got 55% Dixie, though most of my answers were generic (common throughout the US) or midwestern/Great Lakes. And I didn't answer #7, because the correct choice -- You guys -- wasn't given.
Only scored 65%; rather dissapointing since my geneaology's been done, and I have absolutely no Yankee ancestors anywhere in any line. Well, Massachussets Bay Colony, but back then, there wasn't a North or South, there was just a "Here." (As opposed to England, I suppose.)
Must be all that time I spent in places like Ohio and Illinois, in TWI.
I'm sorry but that is just wrong. Other than six months in Atlanta (which probably has more yankees than southerners in it) I have lived in the north my entire life. Great Lakes area at that.
Sheesh
Ok this one for example . . .
"11. What do you call gym shoes?
Sneakers
Tennis shoes
Gymshoes
Runnning shoes"
I don't call them any of those - I call them tenny shoes or just tennies.
Many of the other ones I picked were common to all of the U.S., with only a few specific to the north, such as Devils night, of COURSE, duh.

Some other possible giveaways:
Tow motor, or fork lift?
Tire tool, tire iron, or lug wrench?
Wrecker, or tow truck?
Black-eyed peas, or cattle feed?
