Tell "old" George he has to come here in person to pick up his birthday greetings. I'll turn 50 in September and in some ways feel that George is like my twin in the way we feel about things.
I did that about 3 or 4 years ago. Still feel the same as I did when I was 18...cept for the aching back and joints, shortness of breath, smokers hack, cane, wheelchair, removable tooth, memory loss etc.etc.
It's interesting that the older we get, the more dull our senses become...like my sense of decency is almost null and void, now.
And many happy returns for the kindness you have brought into the world.
Watchman Nee is my all-time favorite writer, and it's his carefully detailed and quiet mind which is able to capture so many of the little nuances of Jesus Christ, of scripture, and of life in general which won my heart.
(How I relate to your perception of the greatest of art forms)
Hope not only your cake but your all-around life is sweet and enjoyable and present-able.
