Of course, a few of us irreverent Sickth Corpse used to sing...
"Hark the herald angels speak
Glory to the new born FREAK..."
(I'm sorry...)
Then there was
"Paul the apostle..." to the tune of "Frosty the Snowman"
OMG - once, our fearless BC here in Tampa had our fellowship gather 'round the piano and sing those Way Carols together - I thought I was going to gag...

Hope: I'm glad you pointed out what rhymed with speak. I thought of it too. And geek. Hark the herald angels speak, for crying out loud. Gawwwd, to think I was a part of this stuff not too long ago, LOL!
This is too funny, rightly divided Christmas Carols, LOL!
I had forgotten all about the "biblically correct" version of thes songs till now. Knew I should have stayed away from the song posting!! Now i will be singing them incessantly too.

OH I get it now. Duh. It's supposed to be done to the 12 days of X-mas. I wonder who wrote the revisions?
I'm sorry but I still can't get over "Hark the Herald Angels Speak." That's the funniest thing I've heard in awhile.

I, too, thought of the Good Seed version whenever I heard that song in malls and stores while shopping. Doesn't bother me though.

I think Alfred Hitchcock must have written the original version. Look at all the birds in it.
