Near where we lived while stationed at Bangor Wa, was a few families whose children all went to school via skiffs. I remember newspaper articles about these children rowing their boats across Juan DaFuca channel to go to school each morning.
Lotta "little house" in there, shellbert...and it is kinda sweet, and trusting, and responsibility building and a lot of other things. I can only imagine living in a place where you could actually (literally) do that...far away from Chicago, or a Florida city.
...and thanks for posting something "sweet"...it was refreshing to open a thread that was, well, something sweet. lol. Most may miss it unless you change the thread title to "This is sweet in a sick way," or "What kind of parent would let a jackass do the driving?" or "Let's kill anyone who would think of hurting the mule or the kid riding it" or run a poll to see who would be at fault if anything happened to either...
