As you can imagine, the Jonestown incident stirred an enormous amount of controversy in TWI. To say the comparisons were downplayed would be an understatement of epic proportions. We were nothing like them, of course, because we had the "real truth". (insert sarcasm emoji here.)

Not to mention that Wierwille, though clearly also highly paranoid like Jones, didn't incite a mass murder/suicide event.
