Beryl. Not a good track, though wind shear and Saharan dust may knock it out before it hits the US.

This is looking moderately problematic. Most of the Texas coast will be impacted. Fortunately, it's moving quickly enough that impacts will be lessened.
Debby. Not much time as a tropical storm before heading into Florida as a Cat 1 hurricane. Hope you guys are battening down the hatches. It's supposed to slow down, meaning it will dump a lot of water on Florida and especially Georgia.
Yeah. This time of year, once cold fronts actually pass through Texas, they usually act as a shield against storms. Good news for the Texas coast, but bad news for the rest of the Gulf Coast, as those storms get pushed eastward. This one could be Cat 3 by landfall.
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of so many lives and for the massive destruction Hurricane Helene caused. If climate change is proven to be responsible in any way, I hope more will continue to be done worldwide to deal with it.
The National Hurricane Center predicted that this year would be more active than usual. That does not appear to be the case (though activity tends to ramp up in September/early October).

Southeast unscathed.

Good to hear. This was a tropical storm all the way to Atlanta, though. I hope all our Greasespotters are OK. George

We expected tropical storm conditions in my neck of the woods and didn't even get that. Some strong overnight winds, but that's it. Most of the GSers who would have been affected don't post much

I've already heard Invest One being called Alberto. Mostly a rainmaker.

No structural damage from Beryl, but power (and internet) out for over two days.
Now I'm heading to Tennessee on vacation until Monday. Sorry if I'm leaving a couple of "game threads" hanging.

We had to open an umbrella for about an hour. Other than that, no issues on the southeast coast.
[disclosure: Raf and modcat5, same person too lazy to switch accounts].

I've been teasing my wife (her name is Debby) that she has been making waves over Florida.

I could have sworn I posted this. I must have hit "Back" instead of "Submit Reply." I do that with unnerving frequency.
Anyway, Ernesto doesn't seem apt to strike the US.

Gonna add this one now. Should be Francine by the end of the day. Likely to miss Texas but hit Louisiana:

Might as well get this one up here now. It will be Helene soon enough. Looks to be bad news for Florida. Time to prep!

So i'm on the southeast coast, and we're all braced for a lot of wetness in terms of water.
Should be ok.
Buckle up, Florida west coasters!
