One of the solo acts is quite popular this time of year.
No doubt then, were talkin' about Mariah Carey. Assuming I'm right that would be three. Shouldn't I get a prize George, or something for getting two artists with nine number ones? Beyonce and Elton had nine huh? I'm not surprised but, maybe I am a little that they didn't have ten numbers ones. I mean Elton John with seven straight Number One albums. I thought he would be a shoe in.
A few rounds ago I posted a question about Bela Lugosi ("Dracula") and Lon Chaney Jr ("the Wolf Man".)
As it turns out, out of all the actors in Hollywood, and more to the point, in the Universal movies that BL and LC were in, Lon Chaney Jr (sometimes billed simply as "Lon Chaney" as if he was Lon Chaney Sr who was already deceased) could actually claim a singular honor. What is it?

Your first two are on the list. The other three are not.
Though I've heard of two of the artists, I couldn't name a song they did.
A couple of the names surprise me, others not so much.

Still only Jackson and Swift. None of the others. (Cash might have had enough No 1s, but not on the R&R charts.)

Of the remaining artists, seven are solo acts (five female, two male), one is a group. Only two of them recorded in the 60's and 70's.

Beyonce (like Elton John) has only 9 number 1s. Jayzee and Eminem aren't close.

(By "solo," that doesn't mean there is no backup band, dancers, etc.)

Mariah Carey is correct. In fact, she's #2 behind the Beatles.
Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin are not on the list.
When all the names are revealed, you'll probably go with a couple of them and with a couple others.

The list, with number of #1 hits:
Beatles, 20
Maria Carey, 19
Rihanna, 14
Michael Jackson, 13
Drake, 13
Madonna, 12
The Supremes, 12
Taylor Swift, 12
Whitney Houston, 11
Janet Jackson, 10
Stevie Wonder, 10
I would think The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, and maybe Madonna would be in the category, with Rihanna and Drake in the WTF? category.
Anyway, Human got three of them, so I'll give this round to him

I got Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift. Human got Mariah Carey.
Did I miscount, or did neither of us get "three"?

Actually Human did add MC to the other two.
Whichever of you wants to go, go ahead.
