Thx! I'm gonna clean it up and post a final .. I'm not doing this for accolades...I'm testing out my new studio setup...you guys are not guinea pigs....but if u were you would be God's best guinea pigs...lo shonta
Beautiful tune!
One of my favorite things to is anthemic sounding music – it’s uplifting…inspiring…I closed my eyes and could imagine your tune as a soundtrack in a movie like Rocky – there’s the training period and making breakthroughs with a couple of crescendos…I mentioned earlier it reminded a little of Gogo Penguin and Hidden Orchestra – a lot of their stuff has an anthemic vibe to it. Whenever I’m in a writing sometimes I like to have instrumental stuff in the background (usually, jazz, classical, Gogo P, Hidden O – something like that – encourages mental doodling.
Again great tune – smooth work on the lead guitar – that’s the style I like the most
A game-show analysis of your post has yielded a candidate for Wheel of Fortune – before and after:
I'm testing out my new studio setup...you guys are not guinea pigs....but if u were you would be God's best guinea pigs
New Guinea
Pigs
Could refer to the police force on the world’s second largest island. I know the chief of police Hiri Motu LoShonta – he and I go way, way back – to the back of the line at the DMV.

"Thanks for the feedback" Jimi used to say that all the time - he talked to his amps.
btw - my very first concert was Jimi Hendrix, at the Singer Bowl -1968 in Queens, NY - and on the bill was Soft Machine, Chambers Brothers and Janis Joplin...I still remember when Jimi came out, he kept fussing with his guitar - he says something to the MC - the MC steps to the mic and says something like "Jimi says he's sorry for the delay - but said he'll make it up to you in spades." and he sure did - end of show he rammed his guitar into his amp - roadies were on the back side bracing the stack of amps as Jimi charged them

Hey - I was wondering if "Dream" was the working title - since I noticed that on the MP3 I downloaded.
If you're still taking input, I thought a good title for it would be Old Skool's Anthem

Crazy-awesome…atmospheric…listened to it a few times…great mix…liquified metal licks on geetarr !!!! and I dig that song title…
That would work as a soundtrack in a sci-fi movie
the scene: shuttle craft Cтару Wколу arriving off-world…slowly descending out of the thick troposphere, the interactive planet Alte Schule comes to life with dangly leads of fretted flora and fauna (movie trivia: props and animatronics pilfered from the studio backlot that brought you the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series...and certain animatronics borrowed from a local Chuck E. Cheese). As the landing gear of the Cтару Wколу came down, captain παλιό σχολείο announcedover theintergalactic Yama-Hammer PA system “well gang, we’re not in Kansas anymore.”
~ ~ ~ ~
More movie trivia: repeated the name “old school” in 3 different languages. shuttle craft Cтару Wколу is Ukrainian for old school; the interactive planet Alte Schule is German for old school; captain παλιό σχολείο is Greek for old school.

Oh, heavens must we rehearse all those dreadful TWI tropes again?
Hey you! I do have high hopes that one of these days you get to take a trip to the dark side of the moon but you dont have the time.
Sorry…I’ve got priorities...Me and my bandmates are doing odd jobs for money…cleaning windows…backrubs…embezzling from the Twig’s horn of plenty to scrounge up travel expenses for next year’s Rock... You in?

Noice. Like the new strat sound. Cool layers. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks! That new strat is my baby. I didn't have to do much at all when it was delivered. Truss rod adjustment and raise the pickups a little. It plays freaking great. Action is awesome...and with the H S H pickup configuration I can get all those tasty blues tones that SRV, John Mayer, etc, use and that we have all come to love. Heres a pic of it...guitar porn...lol...j/k.

Beautiful !!!!! Love the color! is that a blue/gray? FYI - I'm terrible with describing colors - can you tell I've been to art school? But I'm not throwing the bull-Shonta around like cult-leaders who claim they took everything that Moody correspondence school had to offer - I've really been to art school, and I still have to defer to my wife for color-coordinating my clothes for the day - .
Is that a wha-ha-ha-hammy bar in your pocket or are you just glad you drive a stick shift?

Pretty cool all of this is inspiring me. I’m a bit behind you on the setup stuff. Got Reaper vst downloaded and looking at it also upgraded my FL Studio version because it is like Reaper but has a lot of plugins. All that for a backing track. But worth it. I’ve seen some guys with a one man band setup with loops that look real cool want to play with all that also. That is one of my New Years resolutions.

knock 'em dead with that, Killer!
Love Zappa, fan from waqy back...
The guitar is gray/black...the colors are a touch distorted in the pic. I didn't mean to do it this way, but my office/studio has a gray and black thing going on. Ill put a few pics up...mostly thank my wife cause Im like you T-Bone...me n colors yeah...lol

Oh, your not behind at all...im literally figuring this stuff out as I go...and I have senior moments from time to time....like realizing my Behringer audio interface has a on off switch for 48v....It's for microphones but it changed my guitar sound completely once activated. Glad to hear you are getting some inspiration...I really struggle with that part and need all I can get...so you are inspiring me to stay on the right track...no pun intended...lol
Axe #1 - my Jackson Frankenstein. Re wired it all with high output pickups.
Dude...I love that guitar...I bet it sounds freaking AWESOME...sometimes those Frakenstein creations are the absolute best because it's totally you at this point. Love the color too...that's beautiful. Ill post up a few pics of my studio...it's still pretty barebones but I have a lot of sound deading panels that are color coordinated to the new guitar and all....again...thank/blame Mrs. OldSkool...lol
Heres one zoomed out showing the deadning panels, window, pic, guitar, vocal mic, desk...I need to get some blackout curtains for amibiance....about to get a large corner desk. My home has hardwood throughout so the panels were VITAL because otherwise it just echos the heck out of anything one would play. I have those panels on all four walls in various patterns for decoration, but more importantly to make the room useable. Also have a grey area rug on the floor that helps too.

Heres a track of me running some scales, chords, triads, etc over a melodic backing track that I DID not write. Only thing I added was the lead track. Literally no prep or practice just some rough imp
