Lets give you some help George. John Wayne was diagnosed with cancer shorter after filming was completed. The film was the last epic World War 2 filmed in black and white.

And also, John Wayne's last picture filmed in black and white. * I pulled that "epic World War 2" thing from IMDB, but clearly that is not true. Schindler's List was in black and white. But it was John's last black and white picture. Anyway, any guesses yet? If you know your early American history George, inspiration for the title of this movie came from a quote by the American Revolutionary Naval Commander John Paul Jones.
I have already gone through the entire cast and I'm fine with giving more hints, provided they will help. Maybe by giving the name of the director it would help? Otto Preminger.

The Hobbit, perhaps? George

Am I? Ok. This actor or actress was in: Les Miserables (not the musical) Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Shine

It's sort-of a sequel. It's not labeled as one, but it can easily be considered a sequel. AFAIK, it takes place afterwards with at least 1 character from the previous movie. Just don't kill yoursel

That's probably where the last time I saw it too. I'm holding some big names which I am now going to use. I wonder if anyone else has any clue yet?

I'm seeing Burgess Meredith in jail, but I can't remember the title. I think it was a pretty well-known film.

Jones's most famous quote is "I have not yet begun to fight!"
Not helping, I'm afraid.

So you want me to show my cards George, it's pretty much just you and I at this point with no other present players? This isn't Movie-Mash up is it?

No, but sometimes you need to give a couple of clues (especially if you've already gone through the whole cast).
For all I know, Raf, WW, and Nathan are playing but stumped, as well. WW did offer a try near the beginning of the thread.

I try not to post when I have absolutely nothing to add. George and I both apparently only know 1 quote from John Paul Jones.
Unless you meant the one who was in Led Zeppelin, that would be different.
