Considered a box-office failure and not a John Wayne classic, the film has a cult following now, and it is considered by some as one of John Wayne's best performances because the role stripped him of his "tough guy persona" and he played a vulnerable and "real human being".

I think you might want to date stamp movies George that have been remade, just so there is a distinction.  I've seen
Sabrina, it's one of my wife's favorites but I can't place Paul Giamatti in it.  It must have been a small part.  I may or may not have gotten it with the Sideways clue, but I didn't see this until just now.
