Meaning therefore, that you will see the symptomatology of sociopathy, psychopathy, borderline, histrionic, passive aggressive, and paranoiac come and go throughout the patient's life. Again, there is both a nature and nurture component to each diagnosis, and neither can be ignored or overlooked. That's why understanding diagnoses like schizoaffective disorder for example, help to define and refine our understanding of medical and cognitive/behavioral therapy and treatment options.
