Our entire limb/state had to give planned schedules of our entire week in 15-minute increments and turn them over to leadership. Along with that, actual schedules from the previous week, for comparison (did we follow the plan exactly?). Mind you, this was not a root locale, not corps, just regular wayfer trash. This was far from Ohio, and when LCM was in charge.
Under LCM, things were so controlling (that and the internet making more a mess of things), I dropped out of school, I could not think straight under all those rules and constant attacks. Under Rosie, I went back to school, and so did others, things calmed down.
I agree the argument can go back and forth about what/when was more micromanaged.
. . . . . . . .
Donn@ taught at an STS years later. She taught the "spirit world is more real than the chair your sitting in". That's a lot of power to give someone . . . letting them dictate to you what's real.
Lind@r was the same. An expert on revelation and casting out spirits. "I could caste a spirit out of that guy easy enough . . . but I won't bother . . . it'll just jump right back in because he won't renew his mind."
R@sie was passive aggressive as well. I won't quote her here.
If you want to see leadership's evilness get quotes from them.

This quote is almost word for word from one of the classes. Not sure which one. (AC,RM or DWA) That's how insidious this stuff became. Linder was quoting something from a class as if it were an original thought he had.

Oh sheesh . . . can't say I'm surprised. One delusion or another.
(There was an actual guy coming around . . . bit of a nut-job . . . marked-and-avoided a long time back . . . Linder was speaking about that guy . . . just to give some context).

And....I am one who tends to believe that Rosalie [and Donna] instigated them.
There are some GS-posters, namely catcup, who have given us ample examples of
craig's ineptness.....especially during those "fog years." Even afterwards,
he got all "his research" and ideas from others.

You would know much more than I about what happened in those years of rosie's reign......I had exited
three years before craig was ousted and slithered into Toledo in the dead of night.

Based on what some posters who worked closely with Rivenbark have said, I would agree that her micromanaging style absolutely influenced Martindale. I got out about a year after Martindale was ousted, so I don't have much direct experience with the post-Martindale TWI, but it sounds like, at least on the local level, the extreme controlling was dialed back. Not much info from inside HQ these days, but I'd imagine there the micromanaging continues
I was at HQ post lcm for several years. It was far less controlling than the field experience of the 1990s. IMO.
(of course HQ was still BS, they were more crafty, another topic. Also, everyone had experienced so much control prior I think certain behavior was already conditioned)

Word up on the conditioning. No need to be so overt once people have been trained.

My impression was that some of her micromanaging was directed AT Martindale and was an accountability measure in light of his cheating. It was foisted on the Corps after a few individuals had died - one in a car collision, the other in a work place fall. Craig took up this mantra that we could and should "schedule the adversary out of our lives". Depending on the zeal of the Corps to impart/impose these seem principles on their people. Sounds like Bolshevik got some of the worst of that.
dange rolls down hill.
Another example of this is the gift policy. We had a whole awkward time there where none of us could receive gifts of any kind. Supposedly all these corps were being bribed by people with seemingly innocuous gestures. There may have been abuses, not really at my level. Craig was far and away the biggest abuser of the "protocol" of gift giving. Hell, in the first draft of the Way of Abundance and Power coordinators guide, there was a whole page of suggested gifts that he as the teacher would enjoy receiving. Not long after that was all shut down, and all the field people got chewed out for accepting bribes. I'm pretty sure looking back that whole thing was about Craig himself.

Get them conditioned . . . then stop . . .
That's when leadership asks for A, B, and C. So Joe Believer goes and does A, B, C, and X, Y, and Z and more.
Then when Joe Believer complains things are too harsh . . . Leadership can be like "What? I never asked for X, Y and Z. You are the one with the legalism. You haven't renewed your mind yet. No condemnation, now bask in my benevolence."
When the conditioned condition others . . . how does one trace it back to anywhere?

Things seemed less micro-managed under Rosie than LCM. She is less controlling. Less details were required to leadership under her.

There is certainly plenty of room for debate concerning that.
Here at GS, you'll find accounts of people stating that Rosalie (and Donna) were laying the groundwork
of the 1990s micromanaging that evolved. While craig was romping around in his motorcoach and Dayton
motel rooms......Rosalie was calculating. She was confident that it was only a matter of time before
lcm's demise.
[i personally think that there was an alliance between Donna and Rosalie
that strengthened formidably dating back to 1987....as the "fog years"
intensified and lcm needed counsel and guidance.]
Here is another such incident that gives substance to my claim.
[Gee, I should write a book....lol]
Looking back, I now see more subtle instances where this slow trainwreck was in motion. At the November
1997 Advanced Class Special, I was assigned to escort Mrs. Wierwille throughout the event. Every day
from 7am-10pm (at least) it was my responsibility to BE READY AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE when Mrs. W. wanted
to be escorted somewhere in that Dallas hotel. From Tuesday noon --> Sunday afternoon.....it was a very
demanding schedule. Anyways.....there I was, this Sunday morning with Mrs. Wierwille and she wanted
to stop off at Craig & Donna's room to greet them before going to breakfast. As we entered their room,
there was lots of tension between Donna and John Linder. After a minute or two of cordial greetings,
Mrs. Wierwille turned to leave the room....and Donna, turning to Linder and said, "Make sure he [Craig]
is up by nine."
Here it was....the CLOSING TEACHING SESSION started at 10:30am and Donna sternly instructed Linder
to "....make sure he [craig] is up by nine." WOWSERS.....my head was swirling as I turned to quickly
open the door for Mrs. Wierwille. My thoughts raced: 1)Why was craig still in bed? 2)Was he sick?
3)Did craig have a late night dealing with some spiritual matter?
With responsibilities at hand to escort Mrs. Wierwille, I had to perish those thoughts
and stay focused on all the details that came my way.
TODAY??......I tend to think that craig was dallying in some corps girl's bedroom late that night
and Donna was furious in finding out "stuff" and yet, needing to keep this predation secret.
Craig was too busy with "other stuff" to be an adept micromanager. :biglaugh:/>
