No idea who "Lodge" is, since Sebastian Cabot was "Charles Sebastian Thomas Cabot",
with no "Lodge" in his name.
I'm sure that Human was conflating Sebastian Cabot with Henry Cabot Lodge (probably, Jr.)
Still not seeing the answer, here.
George
Right, I might have got Lodge, lodged in my head for some reason. He was a robust man so you see where I was going with Sebastian Cabot. Accent would never work for William Howard Taft so...I going to back away from here now.

He was looking for it to use as a clue in a game round a few weeks after he was looking for it. Meanwhile, I hope he posts the next one soon.

Refreshing the page after submitting works, too. George

Well ... yeah. I was about 15 when it came out. (Saw it a couple of years later, when I was in college.) Fonda DID win the Best Actress Oscar for the performance. George

No.
And for a moment, I was scared you got it by remembering who William McElroy was.
BTW, this actor passed away in 1982.

Some characters seem familiar. Guessing Sabastian Cabot Lodge but he passed away in 1977?

It is not that actor-who did die in 1977.
No idea who "Lodge" is, since Sebastian Cabot was "Charles Sebastian Thomas Cabot",
with no "Lodge" in his name.
BTW, the next name will be the giveaway.
Me, I could have gotten it from the last 2 names I posted,
but only if they were together.
(This is not a list with any names added...)
Edwin Flagg
William Howard Taft
Big Sam Hollis
Deputy Alvin Potts
High Priest Sorak
'Diamond' Jim
Adiposo
Professor William McElroy
Sir Cecil Seabrook
Count Mario Vincenzo Robespierre Manzeppi
Dr Clove
Hugo Lovelace

That's him.
He had a number of roles in both movies and television.
I remember him for 2 roles on "the Odd Couple" more than for "Batman."
He played Dr Clove, the exorcist, and the manager for the landlord, Mr Lovelace.

Dr Clove said he could go that evening to try to detect a spirit-and if one was present- to perform an exorcism.
So, he said he would arrive at midnight, and to have prepared for him
"Bay Leaves, cloves of garlic, incense, and half a chicken."
"Half a chicken?"
"Sometimes, around midnight, I get a little hungry..."
When midnight arrived, Oscar arrived just ahead of Dr Clove, but Felix had been reading up and
preparing. He wore a black robe, with a necklace of garlic. He had a bowl of flower petals or something.
He wandered around, and portentiously flung petals around intending to produce some result, along with
a "Ha!" as he did so. When the doorbell rang, Oscar shuffled over like Igor to answer it.
Clove mumbled "Good evening-where is the chicken?" and then busted out laughing when he saw Felix.
"Pardon me, Mister Unger. How a man dresses in the privacy of his home is his own business. I am merely laughing
because you look funny."
"This is for the exorcism!"
"Mister Unger, that costume is used only for cases of Demonic Possession, and sometimes for Trick-or-Treat,
but it doesn't work here."
It was SO one of of my favorite moments of the series.

I know who John Adams was. Joe Gould only makes me think of Chester Gould,
the Dick Tracy guy. And the name Bob Zmuda makes me think of Andy Kaufman
and Tony Clifton, but that's all I've got.

The actor starred as John Adams in an acclaimed miniseries of the same name.
