"Buck Murdock" rang a bell. He was in charge of the lunar colony in that movie. So, "Thomas Hooker" is better known as "TJ Hooker." Walter Bascom, IIRC, was from Boston Legal.
That makes this that star of the movie "Incubus", Bill Shatner!
Correct answer, though a couple of missed assignations. Walter Bascom was his role in Tek War; he was Denny Crane in Boston Legal. (That would have been one of the giveaways.) He was Jeff Cable in Barbary Coast. He was also Bob Wilson in the more memorable of his two Twilight Zone episodes. Incidentally, the J in TJ Hooker stood for Jefferson.

After this, I think the roles jump to "obvious" answers.
Verad Dax, actually. Deep Space 9 used to show here every morning. I suppose Lionel Luthor would have been one of the "obvious" roles.

That, old man Sivana, and Jason Woodrue.
We just caught that episode of DS9 recently, and I was surprised that Glover was there, since I didn't recognize him until I was looking for him specifically. In his roles as Verad/ Verad Dax (which made the role possible to recognize, since the last name "Dax" is a lot more obvious) and Daniel Clamp, I saw him and he didn't look like I tend to remember him. So, it never registered to me that he played either.
That's the one. I thought that maybe San Antonio would lead people to guess heroes from the Alamo, but Teddy Roosevelt (a major, at the time) enlisted over 1500 Rough Riders in the bar of the Menger Hotel.

He was looking for it to use as a clue in a game round a few weeks after he was looking for it. Meanwhile, I hope he posts the next one soon.

Well ... yeah. I was about 15 when it came out. (Saw it a couple of years later, when I was in college.) Fonda DID win the Best Actress Oscar for the performance. George

That's him. I was getting ready to add Scaramanga to the list if this didn't work.

(Twilight Zone) I assume Bob Wilson was the one on the airplane. Personally, I prefer the episode where he's in the coffee shop in that little town.
Ok, I just promised myself, about an hour or so ago, to post this actor next.

I'm stuck trying to wrap my head around their being a role shared by Robin Williams, Robert Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, and Richard Dreyfus.
Richard the Third??????

Fascinating choice, but wrong. If I were to say whom I would expect in this role, it would be Berenger or Keith.
Tom Berenger Paul Giamatti Richard Dreyfuss
Brian Keith Robin Williams Robert Vaughn
Edward G. Robinson Jake Busey Aidan Quinn

Significantly, there's a signed photo of Berenger in this role in the bar of the Menger Hotel in San Antonio.

There are so few roles RW played that were played by other people...and I was sure this wasn't "Peter Pan."
Ok, next one, let's see....
