M didn't get that bad till he got "Rev"ed up; F seemed to disappear from view.

And your bro-in-law - is under proper control now where any of those tendencies will quickly be dealt with. His best mate R has withdrawn from TWI I believe and will revert to what/whoever he was before, hopefully.
