"Whatcha gonn' do to get into another one of these here rock 'n' roll songs?"
Give me a couple of minutes. I know this one........ This may take a few moments more......Alright! You got me Raf, for now. I can hear it, see it in part on video, see the musician singing it. I can't grasp the group yet.

This is a difficult category, especially with us all knowing different songs.
Here's one I know.....
"The old Rocker wore his hair too long, wore his trouser cuffs too tight.
Unfashionable to the end, drank his ale too light.
Death's head belt buckle, yesterday's dreams,
the transport caf' prophet of doom.
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams in his post-war-babe gloom."

"He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.
Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs
and prays that he always will.
But he's the last of the blue blood greaser boys
all of his mates are 'doing time':
married with three kids up by the ring road
sold their souls straight down the line.
And some of them own little sports cars
and meet at the tennis club do's.
For drinks on a Sunday --- work on Monday.
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes."

You maybe the only one who knows this one WordWolf. It's not anything that I've ever heard of.

That was Jethro Tull's title cut for "Too Old To Rock and Roll, Too Young To Die."
"The old Rocker wore his hair too long,
wore his trouser cuffs too tight.
Unfashionable to the end --- drank his ale too light.
Death's head belt buckle --- yesterday's dreams ---
the transport caf' prophet of doom.
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams
in his post-war-babe gloom.
Now he's too old to Rock'n'Roll but he's too young to die.
He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes.
Now they're too old to Rock'n'Roll and they're too young to die.
So the old Rocker gets out his bike
to make a ton before he takes his leave.
Up on the A1 by Scotch Corner
just like it used to be.
And as he flies --- tears in his eyes ---
his wind-whipped words echo the final take
and he hits the trunk road doing around 120
with no room left to brake.
And he was too old to Rock'n'Roll but he was too young to die.
No, you're never too old to Rock'n'Roll if you're too young to die."

So, the next one.
It's better-known.
"Some days I pray for silence.
Some days I pray for soul.
Some days I just pray to the god of sex and drums and rock 'n' roll.
Some nights I lose the feeling.
Some nights I lose control.
Some nights I just lose it all when I watch you dance and the thunder rolls."

Maybe I'm lonely, that's all I'm qualified to be
That's just one and only, the one and only promise I can keep."

As long as the wheels are turning.
As long as the fires are burning.
As long as your prayers are coming true.
You'd better believe it!"
I have traveled across the universe through the years to find her. Sometimes going all the way is just a start.

OK. Thanks Raf.
I have lots of friends who I can ding at anytime
Can mobilize some laughs with just one call
Like a bunch of lunatics we'll act 'till way past dawn
Sure we'll be rockin' til our strength is gone
Nothin' matters but the weekend
From a Tuesday point-of-view
Like a kettle in the kitchen
I feel the steam begin to brew

Perhaps a little obscure to most of you. Candian
Band named ~The Kings~ The Beat Goes On/Switchin'to Drive
Let's do this one:
Hey kid, boogey too, did ya?
Hey shout, summertime blues
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes
Hey kid, rock n' roll,

"Rock On" (David Essex)
Catching Walleye from the dock
Watching the waves roll off the rocks
She'll forever hold a spot inside my soul
We'd blister in the sun
We couldn't wait for night to come
To hit that sand and play some rock and roll

This sounds like a great song. I can't say that I've heard of it though.

If I mention that it's by Kid Rock, does that help?

It helps confirm we don't know the song.
I know exactly one Kid Rock song, and this definitely isn't it.

More lyrics:
And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet home Alabama [TITLE]
