Movie Mash-Up

Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.

Corey Haim was the dude in the lead role in "Lost Boys."

Corey Feldman was the dude in the lead role in "Dream a Little Dream."

(And, IIRC, a supporting actor-Frog brother- in "Lost Boys.")

I think Corey Feldman was the one who died, but I'm unsure now.

Swinging with whatever we have on Feldman,

I'll try with "Goonies."

(Feldman was the kid "translating" the instructions into Spanish, IIRC.)

If it's correct, I have no idea WHY and will need an explanation.

Interesting. I will not say whether you have the correct actor.

BUT

The female lead (such as it is) in the Goonies is also the female lead in the movie we're discussing.

That didn't sound like a description of

"Throw Momma From the Train"

to me.

The lead actress is Keri Green. Her character falls in love with Charlie Sheen's character. Courtney Thorne-Smith is a supporting actress, as is Winona Ryder (in her debut role). The lead actor has been fully named in this thread, but has not been identified as the lead actor.

One-word title. Two syllables. Both syllables appear together in different, consecutive words in post #557.

Albert Brooks and Peter Boyle both appear in this movie.

The director claimed he never intended the end to be seen as a sort of dream of

the main character, but rather what actually happened to him.

Me, I think people were right who pointed out a destroyed television appearing

later as perfectly intact suggested the opposite.

The most famous lines in the movie were an ad-lib. The script simply said

that the character "looks into the mirror."

This movie had a body count of 4 (or 5 if speculation is correct) characters,

which shows that "violent movie" is not synonymous with "high body count."

" I can't sleep nights."

"There's porno theaters for that."

"Yeah, I know. I tried that."

Originally conceived as a straight sequel to its predecessor, but the director was reluctant to do a sequel and only agreed on the condition that he could make the second movie a semi-parody of the first. He did. And it worked.
