I've discovered recently that the vast majority of the old "friends" cannot function socially outside of the four walls that enclose their "home fellowship".
I won't say discovered exactly. Its more like.. I found that nothing has changed.
Even the promise of free beer won't pry them away..
socially I'm fairly dysfunctional as well. But at least I'm trying a few different things.
arrogance is one of the great killers of relationship with the Holy Spirit. Moses was meek above all men, and he knew the Lord face to face. Arrogance and its supercilious air is always my enemy because it's death to my relationship with the Holy Spirit, which is so very precious.

"We don't live in the past."
And, yet, that's precisely what some do.
A hypocrite in all his might, so wrong in that he thinks he's right.

The wierwille model of elitism has spawned hundreds upon hundreds of wannabe-vp
in the cities across the country. Stunning arrogance is pawned off as spiritual
leadership.
The lyrics of this song come to mind.....
Some man's come he's trying to run my life,
he don't know what he's askin'
.......
.......
He can't even run his own life,
I'll be d@mned if he'll run mine.
