I just had a very close encounter with just how short a time I might personally have had left (minutes, not likely hours without drastic intervention), and I'm with you, O, nutcracker!
It's all a matter of perspective. When you're 5...you have to wait 25% of your life waiting for the next one. When you're 10 you have to wait only 10%. BUT when you're 50 rhat same single year is less than 1%. It's the same 365 days (excluding leap years) but ;laid out in perspective like this it's more understandable.
Our days are numbered. So - - if you want to tell somebody you love them...better shake a leg and get started. If you want to make a contribution somewhere to our society I suggest you plan it out and get started.

That's for sure Ham. I didn't exactly know what my grandparents used to mean, when I was a kid they would say, "time marches on". Now I know.
Years seem to be passing by as fast as months used to. Pleasant thought isn't it.
