Twinky
This really ought to be in Just Plain Silly but JPS isn't here any more... So who've we got masquerading as an animal at the Cafe? Ham, of course, who thinks he's a squirrel. Waysider, who currently thinks he's a frog, or more precisely, a puppet frog. RottieGrrl, a rottweiler. Wordwolf...a wolf. Me - a cat, Twinkletoes Catcup - another cat You might wonder what it says about the posters and the personality they want to project ...or maybe it's just that they like the animal in point. WordWolf
I know Rottiegrrl owns/owned a Rottweiler, and I suspect a pic of that dog is her avatar. We had other animals too, like Grizz Bear and others with animal avis like the frog animation. I think some poster tried to use mine, then switched to a sugar glider or something when I asked him to stop. Cindy! and her daughter used/use a Tigger animation. That's off the top of my head. Explaining mine would take long and get personal. The shorter answers include that this avatar was a commissioned piece of art for me. I find that wolves are victims of a smear campaign in Europe, which includes translating the DESERT JACKAL as "wolf" in the Bible when wolves may never have lived in much of Palestine. (I don't know how to find out one way or the other.) Wolves are family oriented, and deal directly with each other and rarely to excesses of violence. Many people I've met could learn something from their social behavior. BTW, if you look closely, you'll see my wolf has a book in the avi. The fuller pic (cropped for the avatar) shows it's cradled in his paws. Edited February 7, 2013 by WordWolf
