Are the movies in the right order, or did you describe the second one first again?

I think I've got the first one, but I'm stumped on the second.

They are in the right order.

The second movie is not as "recent" as the first movie.

A radio shock-jock, suicidally despondent because of a terrible mistake he made, finds redemption in helping a deranged

homeless man who was an unwitting victim of that mistake. That man turns his own life around, and works at a nightclub,

first as a busboy then as a singer. Stars Jeff Bridges as the former radio shock-jock, and the singer was an

obvious casting choice who was hired before he left the building.

(Could you believe they wanted Robin Williams for the role instead?)

Robin Williams is in there somewhere.

I got the Elvis has left the building clue, but I can't remember enough of his movies to know which one is referred to.

Ditto for Jeff Bridges. :)/>

George

Might think of non-comedies with Robin Williams as a homeless guy-

that's how I remember the first movie.

That should give you the beginning of the second, and that's how

I remember the name of the Elvis film.

TCM helps quite a bit with knowing there is such a movie.

It's all clear to me now! Not really.

I know a couple of movies that he was serious in, but none of them where he was homeless.

I've put too much emphasis on RW. Some of your dialogue seems like it would match Patch Adams, or

What Dreams May Come. Not homeless in them either. asdf.gif Stumped.

I'm thinking part is "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in" but I'm stuck on the other.

BTW, where I'm posting from, TV shows are not on the same networks as you're getting,

usually, so the USA Network reference either means I've never heard of the show

or it's not on that network here.

It might help others, though.

This recently-cancelled USA Network show has Dan Rowan and Dick Martin joining Mary McCormack and Frederick Weller as Marshals in the Witness Protection Program in Albuquerque.

Feel free to google, at this point. :)/>/>

Ok,

then I think this would be

"Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In Plain Sight."

I remember when "The Prince of Tides" came out. Everybody kept telling me, "It really makes you think." Which is the LAST reason I would ever go to see a movie.

Atticus Finch defends a black FBI agent, wrongly accused of rape, while the agent tracks down a murderer in the Pacific Northwest. Stars Gregory Peck and Sidney Poitier.
