A man paralyzed from the waist down from injuries he sustained in Vietnam repels crooks trying to break into his house at Christmas.

George

"Coming Home Alone."

(We might have done this one a few years back.)

A wheelchair-bound Vietnam veteran fends off thugs breaking into his house at Christmastime.

George

Yes, once upon a time, we did this one.

Gets tough to cover new ground after a while...

Here's a triple.

In this animated (?) TV movie,

we follow the life of a boy/man.

As a young teen, he discovers an alien device that allows him to transform

into alien forms.

As an older teen, he has to find an un-date-able girl in school a date so he

can date her younger sister.

As an adult, he goes through a mid-life crisis and becomes infatuated with

this blonde married woman he meets.

Here's a stealth triple.

In this animated (?) TV movie,

we follow the life of a boy/man-Benjamin Tennyson.

As a young teen, he discovers an alien device (the Omnitrix) that allows him

to transform into alien forms.

As an older teen, he has to find an un-date-able girl in school a date so he

can date her younger sister (somewhat like an easily-forgotten takeoff

of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew.")

As an adult, he goes through a mid-life crisis and becomes infatuated with

this blonde, cornrow-wearing married woman he meets.

Actors include Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, and Bo Derek.

The middle one seems vaguely familiar, but since this is a "stealth" triple, I assume that the middle one isn't really necessary. And I won't get the cartoon part without googling. :(/>

George

Actually, the one that's technically "the middle one" is the one

you got without effort. And the other one really should be memorable to

you, since forgetting that particular film is becoming the Abe Vigoda of

my posts, so to speak. (No, he's not in the film.)

The cartoon part has been in syndication and new episodes for nearly

a decade of continuous appearances.

Does the answer only work phonetically?

No.

The titles, as written normally, work completely as a "stealthy triple" should.

(1 & 3 could fit together, there's no articles in between any of them.)

You just need the 3 (2) names, and you need to put them in the correct order

of the titles (which is not necessarily the order of the description,

which otherwise would get too convoluted.)

Well, one thing I hate about this game is when one person knows the one title, the other person knows the second, but neither knows both. Maybe George can figure it out from here. If not, I'll have to come up with nine other things.

Well, the cartoon is "Ben 10." The Bo Derek movie is, of course, "10." I don't know the other film.

George

Wait a minute: "Ben 10 Things I Hate about You"?

That's it.

It amazes me that every time I mention "10 Things I Hate About You",

I keep getting a reaction like nobody's ever heard of it.

I like trying to make successful triples.

Your turn, George.

In this movie triple, an Austrian woman leaves a convent and finds work, part time as a governess and part time as a librarian. She falls for a charlatan who promises to start a band for the local children but spends most of his time in fantasy adventures with his sidekick Sancho.

George

It seems that I'm revisiting another oldie, but at least I've added a third movie, this time.
