I can think of a couple. There is the popular Bar Rescue that turned failing bars into thriving bar joints. Before that show, I'm not sure if it's the one you want for bragging rights but it was called Hotel Impossible where the host restores dilapidated hotels, basically reinvented them.
I don't recall the name of the show about the Beverly Hillsplastic surgeon, I used to watch it though.
The food network has a show calledRestaurant Stakeout where they save businesses from going under.
Another on the food network is called Cupcake Wars, but I'm not sure if it saves bakeries or not.

"Bar Rescue" is the one I wanted for bragging rights.
(It aired a year before the hotel one, according to Wikipedia.)
"Restaurant Stakeout" doesn't match any description I gave, as restaurants, as a rule,
are neither places to buy pastries and cakes, nor vehicles/cars, nor get your skin decorated.
(I did a question on "Restaurant Stakeout" before, but it's also a different show in that
it doesn't change the locations at all-just retrains the boss and/or staff.)
As for "Cupcake Wars", it's a head-to-head baking competition.
So, still looking for any of the 3 I described. (Not counting the bragging rights one,
Human had the closest correct answer, so, his turn.
Thanks WordWolf, I think.
Ok. One of the first television series to feature a racial cast. It is considered one of the true pioneers of comedy television. The series ran for 4 years and helped inspire generations of many television actors, writers, and comedians. It helped launch the careers of Fred Gwynne, Dick Van Dyke, George Kennedy, Dick Cavett, and Alan Alda.
That's it. Some fun facts about Phil Silver's his first wife was Miss America 1942 and after cataract surgery he no longer needed glasses but he continued to wear them without any glass in them because his glasses were his trademark.
First weekly television series to receive $1,000,000 from the network to film a single episode.
Regarded as a hallmark in American dramatic television. First dramatic series to incorporate long shots and handheld shots and continuous storylines. Nominated for 21 Emmys for its first season - a record despite having low ratings.

I'm not clear what your point is then. I don't think I'm much older than anyone here. I thought the whole point of this game was to stir memories ,and realize-'oh yeah-I do remember that show !' I'm

In the "Jump the Shark" episode of Batman B&B, they go through all of the ways to JTS listed on that website, including having Ted McGinley on! George

C) The DC/Fawcett character must be Captain Marvel, now known as Shazam. I think the show is Beat Shazam George

Ahhh, the 60's: everybody smokes, all day; everybody drinks, all day; and sexual harassment is a way of life.

Here's a set of obscure, recent shows. Name any to take the round.
Seems that a lot of people are making shows based on rebuilding businesses.
Some expert visits the business, chats with the staff and owner,
fix their attitudes, and usually do some or lots of remodeling to the
physical location to make it a more successful business.
Besides the first one, there have been, so, far, shows to save:
A) local places to buy pastries and cakes
B) local places to buy cars
C) local places to decorate your skin permanently
Name any. (And name the one that I didn't describe, that became the model
for the others, for bragging rights.)

Wow. Three strikes and I'm out. I went wayward with the plastic surgeon.
The car flip shows and car restoration shows I know don't save businesses.

The "A" show is hosted by Buddy Velasco, the self-proclaimed "Cake Boss."
As for the rest, can anyone construct the names and save the round?

A) Bakery Boss.
Brought to you by the Cake Boss.
B) Carlot Rescue
C) Tattoo Rescue

It original show won 3 emmy's in a row for best comedy, and winning a total of 8 emmy's.

No. The sitcom was from the mid 50's and a plot similar to that of Hogan's Heroes. To big of hint? Maybe.
It was originally titled "You'll Never Get Rich".

I need to mark the calendar with, the day I one upped George.
