Summer Glau has appeared in five sci-fi/fantasy shows. None of them survived two full seasons with her in the cast. (Most didn't make one.) Can you name them?
George
PS. She now has a recurring role in "Arrow," which does not bode well for the show.
After she killed SCC, she jumped to Dollhouse, killing it after four episodes (it was in its second season).
She then starred in The Cape, which made about a half season.
She joined Alphas in its second season, ending its run.
Any wonder that I worry about Arrow?

PS: There are a number of ways to find out that your favorite sci-fi show has been cancelled. A common one is to see the stars become regulars on other shows (e.g., Sanctuary's stars appearing on Falling Skies and Supernatural). Another is to find out by watching The Big Bang Theory (the cancellation of Alphas was a major focus of one episode.) Another is to find out in a friend's Christmas letter. The daughter of one of my friends is in the crew of Warehouse 13, so I found out last December that it was going bye-bye.
yes, George-Ann Sothern was reincarnated as a 1928 Porter. Of course she doesn't talk to anyone but Jerry Van Dyke, and his wife thinks he's gone nuts keeping the piece of junk. And Avery Schreiber-of Burns and Shreiber with the big moustache-plays a car collector who will do anything to get the car-and there's the whole show
"Good evening, and welcome to a private showing of three paintings, displayed here for the first time. Each is a collectors' item in its own way - not because of any special artistic quality, but because each captures on a canvas, and suspends in time and space, a frozen moment of a nightmare."
When thinking about how Summer Glau goes from show to show, portending its demise, it reminded me of a Night Gallery episode where a guy figures out that he's the "Flying Dutchman," as he goes from the Lusitania to the Titanic, to the Andrea Doria... :)

I'm not clear what your point is then. I don't think I'm much older than anyone here. I thought the whole point of this game was to stir memories ,and realize-'oh yeah-I do remember that show !' I'm

In the "Jump the Shark" episode of Batman B&B, they go through all of the ways to JTS listed on that website, including having Ted McGinley on! George

C) The DC/Fawcett character must be Captain Marvel, now known as Shazam. I think the show is Beat Shazam George

Or maybe just for her character.

I can name 2 series, not counting guest shots and not counting "Arrow."

I wasn't counting "Arrow" in my five.
Let's see which ones you have. If no one else chimes in, I'll give the rest and hand it off to you.

Obviously, I know her from "Firefly."
I know she was in "Terminator- the Sarah Connor Chronicles."

Her LONGEST gig was "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." ALMOST two seasons before cancellation.
"Firefly" didn't make even one season.
Any others, out there?

I knew Alphas was cancelled, but I never saw the show. I knew Dollhouse was cancelled, but never saw
it either. I knew Eliza Dushku was in it but not Summer Glau. I never watched Warehouse 13.

Ok, next show.
Someone wrote words to this show's theme song. Here they are.
"
So you think that you've got troubles?
Well, trouble's a bubble
So tell old Mr. Trouble to get lost!
Why not hold your head up high and
Stop cryin', start tryin'
And don't forget to keep your fingers crossed.
When you find the joy of livin'
Is lovin' and givin'
You'll be there when the winning dice are tossed.
A smile is just a frown that's turned upside down
So smile, and that frown will defrost.
And don't forget to keep your fingers crossed "

Bravo!
You have it in one.
I didn't know the lyrics existed until just before I posted the clue.

speaking of Van Dyke-this show starred his brother, and Ann Sothern's voice. It was only a season, but hardly obscure-in fact it's infamous.

Ann Sothern was the voice of his (My) Mother, the Car.

Sort of like Mr. Ed in a garage. Wasn't his mom reincarnated in the car, or some such?
Dushku was the main star of Dollhouse. Glau showed up later.
Warehouse 13 is a FUN show. I'd recommend getting it on DVD or Hulu, or whatever.
(Two of the cast from Alphas appeared in this week's WH 13.) :rolleyes:/>
New show, soon.

This show has had more than TEN theme songs!
Among the theme songs were the following lines:
"On a road, far from home,
you don't have to feel alone.
Brave and strong, together we will be.
It's our destiny!
We will be heroes,
We can change the world if we try!
I go where you go,
Forever friends, you and I!"
"Be the best you can be
And find your destiny
It's the master plan
The power's in your hand."
"Walking down this endless highway
With nothing but my friends beside me
We'll never give in, we'll never rest"
"Yeah, this dream keeps us together,
This shows that you and I -
Will be the best that the world's ever seen,
Because we always will follow this dream!"
"And the future will decide
If there's a hero buried deep inside"
"No time to question my moves
I stick to the path that I choose "

It seems vaguely familiar, but nothing I can nail down. Perhaps a time frame would help.

Glad it wasn't TOO easy. Each theme song has been for a different season.

This a current show that has had enough seasons to justify all the theme-songs.
No-
although since I just added that this was a current show,
I'm sure you figured that out.
But I'm replying because I don't want to ignore you and be rude. :)
