One show ran for 10 seasons on two networks. A spin-off is currently among the top rated shows.
The other show ran for four seasons. It was a franchise product which sadly did not meet expectations. (Three other shows in the franchise made at least eight seasons.)

Jag was a military show. Now, I'm guessing here. Is the other one that show with Mark Harmon? That's all I got, I forget the name.
I could live without the lesbianism, but otherwise I really like "Lost Girl."
This show was cleverly mentioned on "Castle," when the star of that show (Castle) talked about "good" sci-fi, like Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and "that Joss Whedon show."
We've talked about the connections between "Castle" and "Firefly" more than once,
IIRC, so I'm hoping this isn't a reference to "Firefly."
Sorry to disappoint you. It IS a reference to "Firefly." :)/>
I haven't seen a full episode of "Castle." When I was at the gym a couple of months ago, the episode with Nathan Fillion making the sci-fi line was on one of the TVs. I thought it was cute.
No George, but a lot of the guest stars were grafted from SCTV. I might have steered away from the facts a bit earlier. Candy, Goldblum, and Franken were not cast members but frequent guests.
So were, Steve Martin, Gilda Radner, Kevin Kline, Penny Marshall, Laraine Newman, and Carrie Fisher.
"The New Show" was a sketch-comedy show similar to SNL created by Loren Michael s and aired in 1984. I came across it by accidentally goggling something.
I'd never heard of it. WordWolf is right. Doubtful anyone here has either. But a small part of me figured a SNL fan would have or a SCTV fan would have heard of it.

I'm not clear what your point is then. I don't think I'm much older than anyone here. I thought the whole point of this game was to stir memories ,and realize-'oh yeah-I do remember that show !' I'm

In the "Jump the Shark" episode of Batman B&B, they go through all of the ways to JTS listed on that website, including having Ted McGinley on! George

C) The DC/Fawcett character must be Captain Marvel, now known as Shazam. I think the show is Beat Shazam George

He was not the star of either show, but had significant recurring roles in both.

Both roles were associated with military groups.

JAG was one of the shows. If, by "the one with Mark Harmon," you mean NCIS, that's the spin-off of JAG.
The other show was Enterprise, the last Star Trek show.
On JAG, Culp played CIA agent Clayton Webb.
On Enterprise, he was Major Hayes, commander of a military attachment to the Enterprise for its mission into the Delphic Expanse.
Both characters died in the same TV week.
Human got one, so he's up.

Here's part of an imaginary conversation to pitch a show.....
"Wait, so is she a vampire or a fairy?"
"I guess you'd say both."
"You mentioned a werewolf, too?"
"Not exactly.
Look- we'll represent the 2 courts of fairy."
"Oh, so we'll have the Summer Court and the Winter Court?"
"Yes, but we won't call them that."
"You're messing with me! Get out of my office!"

If WW doesn't mind let me go here with something until he plays.
This show ran for 1 season. Some of the cast members included Buck Henry, Al Franken, Teri Garr, John Candy, and Jeff Goldblum.
It got the lowest rating among 94 shows that aired during it's only season.

Awesome guess, but no.
Most of the well known names appeared as guests stars. Gilda Radnor, Kevin Kline.

I'd guess SCTV (Second City TV), but that ran several seasons. Hard to imagine a flop with the actors you've named!

*looks it up*
No one is going to get this one.
Almost nobody who wasn't IN the thing has ever heard of it.
It was 30 years ago.
Whenever I want to post about obscure shows,
I put up 3 different ones, with 3 different clues,
which gives the guessers slightly better odds.
(Usually, they're linked thematically, too.)
