keeping with the theme-there was another TV game show with contestants working there way through a giant game board. Only with adults instead of kid contestants.
early 60's. Shenanigans was basically a kids take off on the adult version. I 'm pretty sure Jack Narz was the host. I liked it better than Shenanigans. Don't know how to give more clues
Monte Markham plays a man whose prospector grandfather (also played by Markham) was brought to life after thawing out from a glacier. Arthur O'Connell played the "in-between" generation, so half teh time he called Markham "son" and the other half, "dad."
Wild, in the sense that it WAS a long time ago (30 years, maybe 40?) with maybe one or two seasons and no syndication. And, of course, in the comics, BB never invoked "the Elders," he just shouted "Shazam!" to become Captain Marvel. I didn't remember the incantation, but the only guess I had about a show with "Elders" was "Shazam!"
Although other shows (Star Trek, Mannix) featured black actresses in prominent roles, this was the first American show to STAR a black woman.
That's interesting too, George. I didn't know that.
OK. For this next one it basically has two co-stars. I'm dropping some trivia for this one. Let's see where it goes.
The female was the lead. In it's height of popularity she was able to get $1,000,000 per episode. Her co-star had it in his contract that what ever she made he would make it too.

I'm not clear what your point is then. I don't think I'm much older than anyone here. I thought the whole point of this game was to stir memories ,and realize-'oh yeah-I do remember that show !' I'm

In the "Jump the Shark" episode of Batman B&B, they go through all of the ways to JTS listed on that website, including having Ted McGinley on! George

Does that make this "FREE POST"? You didn't say if you were opening it up or trying again with a new round.

WILD guess: "Shazam!"?

How "wild" can that be?
Billy Batson said it in probably every episode!
You are correct.
Been a while since they aired, no?

Billy always shouted "SHAZAM!" to transform to Captain Marvel.
In each episode, more or less, he CONSULTED with The Elders so we
could get a foreshadow of the episode's moral.
He went into the RV, activated the hemisphere with the colored
lights, and said the invocation I posted.

About that show, whenever the character Earl J Waggedorn was mentioned he was always called just that, Earl J Waggedorn.
Julia.

No. This show stars an academy award winning actress and a writer.

I don't think I was playing the game correctly. Trivia about the clue is not in the rules.
So, here's part of the theme song to this show.
Tell me why
I love you like I do,
Tell me who
can stop my heart
as much as you,

A) Trivia is neither mentioned nor barred in the initial post.
A description was given as an example, so it can be argued it suggested trivia was allowed.
B) We've had straight trivia clues on a number of rounds,
especially mine.

I don't think that Marlo Thomas ever won an Oscar. And if Ted Bissell (sp?) ever wrote anything, I'm unaware of it.
Human, what time frame (roughly) are we looking at?
