My first stop was to visit with Kit Sober. A wonderful time was had. We talked about everything from GS to fruitcakes. She is one of the few gems around. Don't miss a chance to meet her, if you get that chance.
I then spent a few very slow days going through Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. The roads were pretty slick.
But I made it through and am now on my way to meet with Onegod in Denver.
Indeed it is understandable that you could mistake GSC and fruitcakes; however, Pawtucket is of the impression that a cake with particular fruits therein is a distinct type of everlasting item non-perishable (and non-edible) item. . .
And he was not refering to the Song of Solomon 6:11 fruitcakes (of which there may be some in Greasespot Cafe -- I have been called such from time to time).
Indeed Pawtucket is a gracious guest and it was a blessing (can I say that word). Fred was working in California and didn't make it home to enjoy the visit, but he sends his love as well.
If that was you tryin to reach my cell phone last night and the night before...I was in parent-teacher conferences...keep tryin, or leave a message and I'll call ya back when I get time ta breath!!!!
He called me yesterday (11/19). He was in the midwest heading towards New England. Bad weather slowed him down a bit so he could not make all the stops he wanted to make.
Those of you who have posts in the queue or are waiting for registration approval... hang in there. I'm sure he'll get to a computer as soon as he is able.

Please come to Georgia! It's too dang cold in New England. My coffee shop is warm and cozy and I bet we could get a few other GSer's to come over and sit by the fire and spin. So...."when whoever's in New Englands through with you..and Boston finds better things to do...you know you better get on down to GA."

We think about you often.
Have fun in Denver. Stay safe while you're on the road...you are one big VIP around here.
I'm glad you have a chance to enjoy yourself for a time.

hhhmmmm....anyone else see anything singularly odd about "we talked about everything from GS to fruitcakes"?
Is there a range of topics there?
To me (and some of my buddies) GS = fruitcakes
Ha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *giggle*

Dear Ttessa,

Thank you, again, Pawtucket, for the visit.

Steve!
You know, Tucket's right.
There are only 4 fruitcakes in existence, they just keep getting circulated.

Now why does the discussion of fruitcakes take place right after Paw mentions visiting me????
It was a pleasure to feed him Pizza & spend some time with him by the way.
I could swear I just saw the light go on - are you sure no ones home??
