Okay, so I've been a bit busy and unable to review my thread for a while...talk quietly amongst yourselves...oh you have been doing.
Interesting discussion, huh?
Now this Bible college is teaching this:
I am a spirit;
I have a soul;
I live in a body.
Have always accepted that I have "holy spirit" or "spirit." And it's a temporary thing - because at some stage I will shed this rather wonderful body of mine and will become...something else. As the seed sown in the ground becomes something else.
I have a (holy) spirit
is rather different from
I am a (holy) spirit
Still pondering that one. Somehow it feels a thing that's completely different.
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
Don't think spirits have "bodies" as such, though they can assume a form that looks solid and behaves like a human being's body. And spirits are discrete (Michael is not Gabriel; Elisha was surrounded by horses and chariots (and by implcation, riders and charioteers) that were identifiable but invisible to human eyes, 2 Kgs 6).
Don't be misled by the word "body" in the text above. We have "bodies" of individuals, "responsible bodies" = statutory authorities and agencies, etc. We are the body of Christ...that same Christ who is seated in the heavenlies. But we are not all clones of an ancient Judean male.
In our time, the word "entity" might sum it up better.

Genesis holds a bucketfull of contradictions. Differing creation stories that merely correspond, yet don't exactly match. As for the old, "a dying you shall die" - well it's juxtaposed against "and

I have a feeling our being encased in a physical body for now is a learning experience, a decision of who you would like to spend eternity with and preparation for what our true life in eternity with

About them bodies:
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
It's the body that will be *different* ... The spirit is eternal (if only a token of what we'll one day have)
The soul, dies - goes to God who gave it, and will be quickened by God at His good pleasure.
This is part of what I understand.

God first
thanks everybody
who saids Michael is not Gabriel?
one of the same kind
two of a kind
a pair
who says God is one?
who says god is many?
the one becomes three, four, five, and so on
the is one but he also many
God is the world as must as one
are we not all from earth?
join heirs of everything
so we are everything and nothing
you must think outside
the end becomes the beginning and the beginning becomes the end
I am the first I am the last
look towards Revelation
with love and a holy kiss Roy
