Seems that John and his gang are planning a reunion cruise...over 60 people signed up already!
I'm wondering if they will break into twigs and have a main teaching at night...
I'll have to ask Lingo...I heard he's going.
And it will be safe because security will be provided by the stay-puft marshmallow man - long a promoter of safe teaching and part-time motor coach escort. All martyrs know they need good security and who better than stay-puft?
I think if I rated people in order from top to bottom as to who I would want to go on a cruise with, that group would probably rank down there as the people I'd least want to go on a cruise with. None of them cared about us when we were in the org - nobody kept in touch then, why would I want to now?
They might want to play down any type of "theme cruise".......i.e. cult themes or ex-cult themes.
In the news today.....
MIAMI — Carnival Cruise Lines won't be sailing anymore with a boatload of "cougars" and their willing prey. The Miami-based company has turned down a request from a singles travel group to book another cruise with the cougar theme. The term refers to older women who date younger men.
Oops . . . no one will see this post from the WC only site will they? I wouldn't want to be perceived as having an opinion. . . . :)
From what I can see, the waycorps folks don't like our opinions much...
...and that's too bad because I really like to express myself. If Rich#$%@ hadn't cut and run from the GreaseSpot, he could respond to me in a public forum that allows people to express dissenting opinions...but it looks like he chooses not to...
I have to tell ya - I went to one of J&HR's parties at their lovely home. I think it was a Christmas party, maybe in 2001 or 2002, I'm thinking. Those two know how to throw a party!!! There was a terrific crowd of some ex-way and some never been way. I think I stayed til 12:30 or later - and the party was still going strong. It was a really fun time - one of the best parties I attended all my ten years living in FL. If I still lived near them I'd love to hang out with them. I'm sure that site is not their whole life.
I've been to a few Greasespot Weenie Roasts and altho the way was the topic of some of the discussion it was not the main gig. Having fun, relaxing and getting to know new friends was. I imagine these folks will have plenty of fun on this cruise, too.
If I were a betting gal, I'd bet that less people on that cruise will "have twig" than don't.
One thing I really like about Greasespot is that we're all welcome to our own opinions.
I wonder if rosie and donnie booked for the excursion..
what I can't figure.. in these economically depressed times.. where does an offshoot *leader* get the money to spend on a cruise, crab legs, and gambling.. hmmm.
I wish I could go. My BC called me and asked me if I wanted to "get blessed" so of course I jumped at the opportunity! So, they're going on vacation, and while they are away they want me to take care of the outside areas, mow grasses, take care of shrubs etc. Also, they charged me with taking care of their pool; hyper-chlorinate...monitor pH...scrub pool deck and diving board surfaces, scrub the lanai furniture, backwash the pool filter and vacuum the crud from the pool bottom. I think they said they were going on a cruise!

The more abundant life baby!! Works for sinner and sinner alike!
10-15% of people's income weekly may not be what it used to be . . .. but, hey, we all make sacrifices . . . . maybe they are flying economy.
about 600 micrograms of Owsley's finest.. I'd go on jr's little trip. Though probably I couldn't tell the difference between a cruise ship and an old harvester bus..
they probably don't let troublesome, unclean squirrels on cruise liners anyway..

(((((Radar))))) I'm with Bow and Radar. I love spending time with J & HR! And can vouch for the fact that they definitely know how to throw a party. Hope and I had a blast when she came to s

I'd personally like to be on this ship so I could anonymously watch the show.

Obsessed, no. Perhaps amused. Or curious.. *human* behavior is fascinating.. maybe I'm just trying to understand this..a group of grown adults poking themselves in their eyes with ball point pens

Casino gambling, drinking, crab legs and twig. . . . wow. . . dang, and to think I am not Corps. A couple of those things I really enjoy.

'all hands on deck, we've run afloat!' I heard the captain cry
'explore the ship, replace the cook: let no one leave alive!'
Across the straits, around the horn: how far can sailors fly?
A twisted path, our tortured course, and no one left alive
We sailed for parts unknown to man, where ships come home to die
No lofty peak, nor fortress bold, could match our captain's eye
Upon the seventh seasick day we made our port of call
A sand so white, and sea so blue, no mortal place at all
We fired the gun, and burnt the mast, and rowed from ship to shore
The captain cried, we sailors wept: our tears were tears of joy
Now many moons and many Junes have passed since we made land
A salty dog, this seaman's log: your witness my own hand

j.r. You might consider waiting til spring break. I have to kinda keep my mind for the most part until then. Master's program and all, you know..
though the math 105 students might get some amusement watching me try to find the chalk board..

I wonder how they'd deal with a few outspoken Greasespotters who chose to get real talkative AFTER THE SHIP LEFT PORT?
