Chat room

Got an IRC chat room sort of working, if anyone wants to try it out. There's a "chat" option on the top menu.

Emoticons (smileys) aren't working yet. Trying to figure out why.

If you know IRC and have your own preferred client, the settings are:

Server: irc.irisheyesinternet.net

Channel: #greasespotcafe

Kick the tires. Let me know.

I think you figured it out since I saw you in there. :)

But the answer is, just click on the Chat link on the top menu....

Was playing around in the chat room and left a BOT running playing a trivia game.

Probably should make a separate room for it. Probably will...

When you go in, do you see a "connect" button at the top left? Press that if you do.

Boy do I feel like Wilma Flinstone! Is the "chat" button here at GSC or do we have to go to another site? I tried going to the link listed in GT's helpful hints link, but had no idea what I was to do when I got there - looked like I was in the wrong place.

Yep, PurpleDays is in another PurpleDaze when in comes to this technical stuff. Slowly but surely I'm learning though!

Hope to see y'all there if I can ever get there.
