This is not patently false. Nobody was ever permanently kicked out of the ministry. if so who? Kicked out of the corps yes, but folks always have been welcomed back if they choose to.

Come on guys, we are talking about PATENTLY FALSE VPW one-liners....

I think the veracity of your claim hinges on the definition of "choose".

I had a case of the TVTs once. A shot of penicillin cleared it right up.

On STS #746 Vic teaches on Acts 8:27-35, starting about 25 minutes and 50 seconds into the teaching. During his teaching he said, (and God knows I quote): "You can't go beyond what you're taught." His exact words.

Give a listen! (hey, that would be a good title for a song..)

:offtopic: I once saw Pa*l C*oco sing that song in the nude. No, really! During summer school in 1975, a few of us were goofing around one day in one of the trailers at HQ, just hanging out. In walks Paul wearing nothing but a wet towel, he had just had a shower. All of a sudden he rips off his towel and starts singing at the top of his voice, "I've got something that I'd really like to show you! Give a listen, try to understand..." Haha!

Oh. My. God. I hope I am not mis-remembering the title of that song. Sheeesh, now I'm aaall stressssssed ooooout.

NOT!!

"If someone comes into the ministry, we don’t drop them, we stick with them. We never kick anyone out."

Potato didn't use the word "permanently". Many people were kicked out. I was one of them.

WARNING!!

Off topic for this thread

But----- I must interject that I most definitely saw people "kicked out".

Early 1970s in Cleveland. Mainly people with mental health difficulties.

One young lady (student) was escorted to the door during the "Christ in you" session and told to never, ever return.

She openly (and vocally) questioned something that was being taught

Was her behavior out of line for group participation?.

Probably so, if you use Way standards to gauge appropriateness.

But bear in mind that she was mentally ill and seeking help.

Leadership claimed she was "possessed", being used by the adversary to disrupt the movement of Gawd's Word.

At least 4 or 5 others come to mind as well, though their exits were nowhere near as dramatic as this one.

"I've already forgotten more of the Word than he'll ever know."

hey, hey, hey, I've finally managed to Quote Wierwille. If not an outright lie, it does manage to be both arrogant and revealing.

"You're the best"

While on one level I think that this is a true statement, it at least implies kindness and support on Wierwille's part.

I'm certain that everyone who was bullied or otherwise abused by Wierwille and his chosen kids think that he lied when he said it.

Well, VP forgot about the adultery parts in the Word of God, for sure. And the parts about not stealing.

Although, I think what he actually said was, "I've already forgotten more of the Word than that old bird will ever know." I think I got that right. Sheeesh, I sure hope I got it right! I wouldn't want to start doubting myself and contract another case of TVTs.

How bout this one:

"Truth needs no defense?

He probably coined that one because he knew he made up everything and anything he didn't, he stole.

And what was that one about "every time you see the word 'adultery' in the text, it really means fornication" does anyone remember how that one went?....he put that distortion out there to minimize the abject wrongness of his extra curricular activities.

Since fornication and adultery are both sins, that hardly matters. What was the big misdirection (IMHO) was trying to make every reference to fornication an account of spiritual fornication (i.e., idolatry). Hey, VP, why would God use (physical) fornication to represent idolatry if fornication weren't wrong, too?

That reminds me George.

I remember him saying something like,"People acuse us of eros love, but at the way we love with agape love."

I know it's not a direct quote, but even just summarized it is a vile misdirection and cover-up too.
