Use some of the melted butter to grease the sides of the pans.
Bake in a preheated oven at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The crust will become quite dark and hard due to caramelization.
Don't let that fool you into thinking it's going to burn if you don't remove it.
Cool for 1/2 an hour before attempting to remove from pans.
Allow loaves to further cool on cooling rack or simply reposition them on a cookie sheet every 15 minutes or so to allow for all sides to cool evenly. Refrigerate overnight.
Try adding just a whiff of cinnamon to that recipe for a real treat.....
Put a teaspoon of rum extract in it - that really brings out the banana-flavor...
I make something like this but call it "junk banana bread" - I use up odds and ends of shredded coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, etc - anything that I've got in the baking goods cupboard. Just throw it in... bake it... YUM
I sure do miss some good ole banana bread....warm with butter smeared all over the top and savored with a good hot cup of strong coffee. I miss those kind of bread days. I am about to start slobbering so I better stop it.

RumRunner
rum extract? Hows about just a teaspoon of rum with the hot buttered banana bread?

Extract has a more intense flavor and doesn't adversely change the viscosity of the batter.
edit
oops. Just realized you said "with", not "in".
