Soul Searcher, I've got those two. My copy of "Crawling Eye" starts with the title screen of "The Trollenberg Terror", it's European title. I have "Devil's Messenger" on one of those "50 Movie" packs. I hadn't checked it out yet but I'll make a point to bump it to the top of my watch list.
They've just come out with Boris Karloff's 'Thriller', the early 60's TV show on DVD. I remember liking this show, but only caught a few of them, as they've not been rerun very often.
I'm pleased to say the show holds up amazingly well. Like most anthology series, there are gems and clunkers, but episodes like "Pigeons From Hell", and "the Hungry Glass" (with a pre Kirk William Shatner), are terrific. I ordered mine off Amazon, and you could find worse ways to spend your money.
My friends and I have watched "Frankenstein", "Bride Of Frankenstein" and "Son Of Frankenstein." Now we can watch "Young Frankenstein" and they can catch all the references.
So what are your viewing choices for this Halloween?
We think alike TOMMYZ. I've seen Frankenstein, and the Bride of Frankenstein. Now I'm considering watching Young Frankenstein and following it up with the original Dracula. Happy Halloween.
Just watched "The Zombie Diaries". It sucked and was a waste of $5.00. This one's getting dumped in the bin for the library book sale so some good might come of it.

Now I don't remember if I saw those movies on "Creature Features", or on "Chiller Theater" (WPIX, New York) in the late 60s.

I already watched "The Exorcist" last night. I consider it to be the #1 scariest movie ever.
Tonight, I think I'll watch "The Blair Witch Project", which is right up there (maybe #2).
Of course, "Night of the Living Dead" is on TV tomorrow ight, but I've seen that a hundred times already. (That's a top 5 horror classic in my book.)
"Rocky Horror" is on, too. I might watch that.

So two years later I watch "The Devil's Messenger" with Lon Chaney Jr. and it was actually pretty good.

Too lazy to read three measly pages of posts...
Did anyone see Cloverfield? Thoughts?
Did anyone see Pacific Rim? Thoughts?
And Godzilla's coming back!

I have Cloverfield on DVD. It's a credible monster movie.
For me, the bonus is recognizing the locations across Manhattan.
With one exception, I was able to identify the neighborhood or specific spot
the characters were at. That exception was the scene as they left the party-
that was a studio set made to mock up a city street. I bet you won't recognize
the scene that takes place at Bloomingdales. :)
I'm thinking about catching Pacific Rim if it's any good.

Have to add that if you haven't seen the silent movie "Nosferatu" you should really check it out. It's a classic !
