It's been so long since I've seen GB&U that I don't know if it fits my description, but that's not what I had in mind. This was a much more recent film.
I occasionally have pangs of conscience about letting this one slip, but a beer or two takes care of that. If anyone would like to give it a shot, feel free.
I would guess that this is the same film as your "Flicks remembered..." answer. Here, as there, though, I can't discern between many films based on the same story.
