When you look across a parking lot full of cars and all the wind sheild wipers are sticking straight up in the air like black reeds in some type of weapon field.
You have a plug in heater for your car's radiator,
This would be a ---- but too true!
I remember my first South Dakota winter (not too long after The Rock), seeing the electrical outlets in the parking lots. I had NO idea what they were for. Someone had to explain it to me (we didn't have such things in NJ).

You live too far north if ---
Everyone you know has a car/ deer story to tell,
You have a plug in heater for your car's radiator,
Your girlfriend has jumper cables in her car - and knows how to use them,
The grocery store has 5 unattended running vehichles in the parking lot,
You own a roof rake, and;
Sorel snow boots with a 3 piece suit is acceptable attire.
This would be a ---- but too true!

If there are mountains of snow around town by mid winter ... you may live too far north.
If you visit New Orleans and feel hot in your shorts and short sleeve shirt in winter, you may live too far north.
