I'm sure I've heard "The Wall" many times, but most classic rock doesn't resonate with me. Since the Houston oldies station went classic rock, about all I listen to now is talk radio and the occasional NPR show.

Any consolation to you George I've heard The Wall way too many times. But, still it is one of the most, if not the most identifiable song in the classic rock era.

In the internet age, you have increasingly fewer excuses.
Besides there being "streaming" content for thousands of radio stations
(I saved one local one and another in Canada) in every imaginable format,
If you live in the USA, you can listen to "your" radio station on Pandora.
Give it about 2 hours in the first few days, and then you should find
fewer songs you dislike playing, and more songs you like playing.

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Nope. The song was a huge hit. It's still a staple of classic rock.

Are you for real George? I thought everybody knew that song. But no disrespect. Maybe classic rock is not what your into.
That's The Wall (part 2) Pink Floyd. And Instant Karma is not a beatles song. It's solo. John Lennon

Interesting.
But about the only time I listen to the radio is when I'm driving. I could shell out bucks for XM/Sirius, but it's not worth that much to me.

Plug a decent set of headphones in your PC's speaker's port, or in the headset port
if you're using a laptop or smaller, and you have an internet radio.
Then all you need is a station streaming, or Pandora's URL.
(Inside the US. Outside the US, Pandora doesn't work.
RIAA concerns.)

Is this an answer to the line I quoted? If so, it's not correct.
Here's the line again, with a little more:
My daddy was a cop, on the east side of Chicago.
Back in the USA. Back in the bad old days.
