Eric Carmen, who later made "Hungry Eyes" on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and "Make Me Lose Control," a misnamed song that's better (and incorrectly) known as "Turn the Radio Up."

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

That's the song I heard in my head when I sang the first line and kept going....
Obviously, Waysider has it - but I'm still gonna guess the name since I don't know the name of the song for sure:
"Fade Away"???

dooj, I think it's "Not Fade Away" but I'd think you're close enough... but Waysider answered first and even got out his old 78 and turntable!
I could only think of the Stones' and Grateful Dead's versions... couldn't remember Buddy Holly & the Crickets.
It's YOU waysider! looks like all of that FLO training has paid off!

"Not Fade Away."

I think the strange one named Tom should get the next one as he was already in hot pursuit when it entered my little "burg" at a high rate of speed.

No. That one begins "When you were young and your heart was an open book."
If no one gets it soon, I'll add a bit more.
