Thank Raf, now I'll have those lyrics in my head all day until I figure it out.
That didn't take as long as I thought. I was heading out to make some runs and the artist who sings this song was on the radio and it clicked. Is this Jealous Guy?
This was the third of three number one songs from the same number one album, the soundtrack of a number one movie so iconic that the title became synonymous with the Artist.
I can hear Johnny Cash and June Carter singing; I just can't think of the title.
George
The very next line has the title in it. It is sung by Cash and Carter. I am giving it you George. The title of the song is mentioned 15 times if I counted correctly to "Jackson".
In the early 80's I lived in this neighborhood literally in front of a beautiful park and my neighbor across the street whose house literally sat on the park had a little girl with long hair probably 7 or 8 yrs old and she would always be playing around, running around, doing something in the park. Anyway, I got to know them and I liked to also go hang out too in the park, but I remember she was a real ball of energy and of course her name was "Windy".
Anyway, I wanted to post the first lines from the last song so it seems familiar okay?
"We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout,
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out.
I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around,
Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson,
Look out Jackson town.
So I'm going guess we need another line? I didn't think it was that hard.
"Standing on a mountain looking down on a city
The way I feel is a doggone pity
Teardrops fallin' down a mountainside
Many times I've been here, many times I've cried"

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Honey I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW times are changin.
It's time we all reach out for something new. That means you too.
You say you want a leader
But you can't seem to make up your mind.
I think you'd better close it.
And let me guide you.
