Nobody's want to take a bite at this?  It is an early 60's song, (1964) and it is not obscure.  Anyway, I  don't think it is.  Another line from this includes the title, so I'm trying to come up with some hints.  My last hint was a big hint and should enable anyone to come up with the title.

I'm recognizing the song, but having trouble coming up with the name.  It was something 60s-ish, like the Animals or the Zombies or something.  If I keep working at it, I might get it.

is it "She's Not There"??????????

Yes.  The last song was by the same group "The Zombies" too, it was titled  "Tell her no".

Ashes to ashes....I believe!

That shade is my shape there where I used to stand"

It was indeed "Ashes to Ashes", by David Bowie.

This one should be "DEACON BLUE," by Steely Dan.
