WordWolf I thought you were asking a question, is it a rock n' roll band? That's why I answered yes, one of the biggest ever ! There has probably been a song named "Rock n' Roll Band" but it's not the name of this song. Sorry for your confusion WordWolf. Yes, the song is probably by one of the Biggest bands ever, even of all time. I know when I was young when I listened to the opening line and thought I was hearing 'standing in the dock of Japan'. I've used this clue before to.
So I guess I'm still up then.

Very good. Yes. Perhaps I should have left the original post alone but I wasn't sure that anyone recognized it. Good for you redrock and blues. Still, WordWolf got his first so now he's up.
"Whenever we kiss, I get to feeling like this, I get to wishing that there were two of you. My heart cries out 'More, baby', it feels so nice, I want your arms to wrap around me twice."
This was a hit for 2 bands, decades apart. One version is about as old as me, and the other version wasn't recent but was part of a soundtrack, and Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared in the music video (live, not in archived footage.)

I suppose that any time ANYONE of us is stumped, then it was a stretch for this thread. On the other hand, we all have personal favorites which we would assume (correctly or incorrectly) that EVERYONE should know.
I think HwoB is talking about the content, not the difficulty.
I am. It's not that the lyrics are difficult. They are just not that memorable. They're not like "There she stood in the doorway, I heard the mission bell" are they?

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Or this one, "What's your name, who's your Daddy, is he rich like me"
Name either one and win the round.

George, you're confused because he said I was right but then, explaining it, said you were right. So you were right. He didn't recognize the lyrics.
In any event, let's end this:
"Can't Get Enough of You Baby"
The version I remember is by Smashmouth
