These lyrics have a Ray Stevens feel, but I'm pretty sure it's not "Ahab the Arab."

This was from when Ahab went to Fatima. This is what she was doing when he arrived.
BTW, there's 2 versions of the song. The classic ends with Ahab and Fatima dancing. The later version has the husband bursting in, and Ahab escaping on Clyde.

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Actually, "Ahab the Arab" was a Ray Stevens hit.

Oh yeah....Ray Stevens!! Sheb Wooley had some humorous songs in a similar style.

For this thread, we need the song title only.
This is the CORRECT song title.
(Wrong author, but that doesn't count on this thread.)
Your turn!

Help!
This one might be borderline for this thread...

You're right George. I think it is borderline.

On second thought, let me go with an easier one:
On a warm summer's evening, on a train bound for nowhere...
Extra credit if you can name them both

I can't name both but I'm holding some cards on the latter one. I wait and see if somebody can name them both.

Here's something
So, by the dark of the moon I planted
But there came an early snow
There's been an old hoot owl howling
Outside my window now, six nights in a row

Really, I thought that last thing (hoot owl) would ring a bell.
How about this one?

Both of your last posts seem familiar, but they don't come immediately to mind.
