That would be The Who with "Teenage Wasteland." (The official title was "Baba O'Riley".)
The official title is "Baba O'Riley", not was. Neither was Teenage Wasteland ever the title. Named by Pete Townshend who drew inspiration from Indian guru Meher Baba and composer Terry Riley.
Every now and then we resurrect a topic I like to call "songs with the wrong name."
I'm not going to look for it, but you know the songs.
Hey, this might make a good everything trivia question.

I meant, on the album, the official title was "Baba O'Riley" because that's what was written on the cover. Thus, my usage of the past tense.
No relation to the Swami Sali Maharishi Baba, or Sali Baba for short.
*checks* I've never heard more than a few seconds of this song. I'm unfamiliar with the artist, as well. Someone else will have to get this one. Probably someone, ah, 'born at a more comfortable distance from the Apocalypse.'

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

I couldn't think of anything other than that first line, but since you posted it, I assumed it wasn't the title.
