I know it because a radio station that plays "oldies' I'm listening to plays a fair amount of Sonny & Cher, and Cher.

 I can remember when I was a young kid growing up in the city walking by the DJ station downtown.  They did the show right there behind the window glass and you could stand there on the sidewalk and check them out.  Well they went off the air, I think it was an AM channel then, in the late 70's, but as of 2014 they have a new FM call sign and have been broadcasting again.  It's cool, they play the old commercials from the 60's and 70's like Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, which bring back good memories.
