That's really strange. I was having trouble with posting and getting online yesterday. Today I'm not. However, I just wrote a post and it disappeared from thin air.
Anyway, thought it was 9 to 5 but I think that starts with "try to yawn and stretch and come alive".

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Here's the line.
(Please note I don't subscribe to this thinking,
but I think this is a memorable line....)
"Well, I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to be with another man"

Soooooo-----I guess the lyrics really WERE rather mundane----or at least ABOUT something mundane---(ie: It's Just Another Day)

Actually, I like the song. I was just commenting on the irony. (in my usual, twisted way) :)

Any takers? Here's another line.

"And try to make you happy when you're blue."

"Midnight Confessions" by the Grass Roots
I wake up every mornin', I stumble out of bed
Stretchin' and yawnin', another day ahead
This song went by two titles (US and abroad), so I'll take either.

I'm inclined to give it to you, unless it's the Dolly Parton song you're thinking of.
This is Sheena Easton's "Morning Train," also known as "Nine to Five."
Go ahead,Human.

If I remember correctly (actually, I remember correctly, but if Casey Kasem REPORTED IT CORRECTLY),
Sheena Easton released the song as "Morning Train (9 to 5)",
then later changed the title to "9 to 5".
When Dolly Parton's song came out, Easton changed it to "Morning Train."
If he mis-reported it, please let me know.
