I really enjoy the Boss. I've never seen him in concert and I don't seem to know that much of his stuff. I've heard this song plenty, but not enough to know the first lines of the song. It was good to listen to with my first cup of coffee this morning. Now I'll have to find some more, like Thunder Road, Rosalita, (love that line - "you ain't a beauty, but eh, you're alri-i-ight, oh, and that's alright with me"...)

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

I always thought it was called, "Learn to Play the Saxophone", by Steely Dan. Is it maybe called "Scotch Whiskey"?

I should have mentioned that this is the "bridge" in the song. I'll continue with it since it will get more familiar:
"I can remember what she said when she said,
'Good-bye...baaay-be.
We'll meet again soon maaay-be.'

Okay, let's do this: Here is the first verse:
"When I see her comin' down the street
I get so shaky and I feel so weak.
I tell my eyes to look the other way
But they don't seem to hear a word I say."
That should be better
