When I first heard this song as a teenager, none of us had ever heard that particular expression before. I guess that's why it always stuck in my head and I considered it "recognizable". If it's too obscure, someone please jump in with another.
You should go again waysider, I do remember that song, except I would have needed the chorus, which contains the title, to be able to guess it. I remember the tune, but not the lyrics on paper, just the chorus.
